Preparing our Home for Spring
This time of year when the sun starts shining and the nights are getting lighter. Not only do we enjoy clearing and planning the garden. Nothing beats starting to prepare the house for Spring and Summer.
It feels so good to open up the windows and let the fresh air into the house. Especially after a winter where we have had condensation, log fires and central heating. And yes, I wash down the woodwork and clean the glass.

2. The Washing Line.
It’s one of life’s freebies, washing drying on the line and blowing in the wind. Nothing beats the freshness of bed linen that’s been line dried. Last week, saw the first line load and it made the ironing so much easier. 😍 oh I love fresh bed linen.

3. Bye bye Winter Layers.
It’s so easy to leave the winter coats and boots in the hallway. Decluttering the hallway and putting them in storage (or is it hiding) makes for more room in the hallway. I’m always really reluctant to do this, as I don’t want to tempt the weather. 😳 But April seems a good time to start. Leaving the umbrellas for April Showers.

Nothing beats clean vases full of fresh flowers. Tulips, daffodils, roses…. Love them all. I can’t wait to be able to walk in the garden – home grown flowers. Until then a bunch from the supermarket With the weekly shopping is perfect.
