Blog Tour: Bring Me Back ~ B A Paris*

Bring Me Back

B A Paris

Today we are incredibly excited to be hosting the “Bring Me Back” Blog Tour, written by B A Paris.
BA Paris is without a doubt one of our go to authors, a favourite and one we always highly recommend.  We  have read both of her previous books – “Behind Closed Doors” and “The Breakdown” and loved them.  In fact, we loved them so much we had copies shipped, to a very dear friend, in Pennsylvania USA.  The verdict was “WOW, what a read”.
As each B A Paris writes each new book, they just get better and better. And, with this expectations are raised for the next.  At the end of each book, I am always left wondering “How can they get any better?”  Whilst each book stands on its own merits, the author and publishers must feel alot of pressure to exceed the standard of the previous book.
A very big thank you to Isabel at HQ Stories for both the advanced copy, and the invite to join the book tour.  We have been waiting to read an advanced copy of Bring Me Back since the proof copies have been available, and on Saturday a copy landed on our doorstep. Yes, I danced a very happy dance and has great pleasure in reading.

The Disappearance
Twelve years ago Finn’s girlfriend disappeared.

The Suspicion
He told the police the truth about that night.
Just not quite the whole truth.

The Fear
Now Finn has moved on.
But his past won’t stay buried…..

Book Review

Where do we start with this review…. Bring me back, is a fast paced psychological thriller. It is almost a book of two halves. The first half setting the scene, getting to know the characters and story.
I enjoyed the first half and it’s that section of reading that builds a very important picture that has you fixated on the story and the lives of the characters. A distinct characteristic of BA Paris writing style, when reading you feel like an observer to the story. Walking beside Finn, looking over his shoulder. A writing style that creates increasingly tense feelings when you reading.
From the point in the story, where Finn starts questioning himself constantly…. is it, is she, did she, or was….. the pace snowballs and takes over and you will not be able to put the book down.  At this point, you will forget everything and anything, including sleep.  I lost just over three hours sleep and it was worth every single minute, of what I call book sleep deprivation.  Reading takes over, the pages turn and plot thickens. That is until Finn and you know the truth.  Then you can breath….
Towards the end, I worked out the final twist but, it doesn’t detract from the feelings you have when read the final chapters. And, that is why I love reading the books BA Paris writes. She has a strong writing characteristic where the story gets under your skin and you become so absorbed into the lead character, story, that it becomes compulsive to read to the end of the last page in one sitting. And when you’ve finished the book – you will spend the next few days still absorbed in it.
Without a doubt “Bring Me Back” is a gripping, intense, page turner. A first class read and we are predicting a No 1 bestseller.   And yes, I will be shipping a copy to a my book reader/friend in Pennsylvania, ahead of the USA publication date. I know she can’t wait!
Thank you B A Paris for another amazing book, and thank you to Isabel at HQ stories for our advanced copy.
