Yesterday, saw the first day of spring and hopefully the last of the snow! Spring has to be my favourite time of the year. A time of new beginnings, watching nature come alive, spring flowers starting to make an appearance. And, with the clocks moving forward an hour this weekend here in the U.K., we will have lighter evenings ahead.
Today we are hosting the blog tour for “The Start Of Something Wonderful” by Jane Lambert. We were pleased and excited when Jane approached us through reading our blog, to review her debut book.
If you’ve ever thought about making changes to your life, taking the risk and starting something new. This book is an enjoyable, funny and warming read.
The Start Of Something Wonderful
It’s never too late to follow your dreams…
Forty year old air stewardess, Emily Forsyth, thought she had everything a woman could wish for: a glamorous jet set lifestyle, a designer wardrobe, and a dishy pilot for a boyfriend. Until he breaks up with her.
Catapulted into a midlife crisis she wishes she’d had earlier, she decides to turn her life upside-down, quitting her job and instead beginning to chase her long held dreams of becoming an actress!
Leaving the skies behind her, Emily heads for the bright lights of London’s West End – but is to too late to reach for the stars?
A fast paced story of love, friendship and romance, balanced with betrayal, heartbreak and disappointment. The Start Of Something Wonderful makes for an enjoyable read, that will make you laugh out loud and leave you with a warm cosy feeling.
Jane has written this entertaining story which when read, reminds us that we only have one life and it’s never to late to give yourself a second chance. Making memories is important.
Emily, is the main character and is incredibly warm, sensitive and relatable. She decides to make a major career change and leaves her job as a flight attendant to follow her dreams to be come an actress. This takes her to London, and on tour. We follow her ups and downs, which will make for addictive reading and have you absorbed into the pages.
This is Jane’s debut book. Without question, Jane has a writing trait, where the descriptions of the places are so vivid that you feel as though you are sat watching the story and not reading. It’s very easy when reading to become immersed in not only the characters (whom are very likeable), but also the scenery.
An entertaining and enjoyable read. That will leave you looking on the bright side of life, and it’s worth taking the risk and make the changes.
Once you open the cover and read the first chapter, you will be transported into Emily’s world and compelled to read to the end. Wthout a doubt this book lends itself to a sequel and we look forward to reading it.
